Tho Minister for Defence (the Hon. A. M. Myers) yesterday received a telegram from General Godley stating that he had just returned from inspecting the Otago Ge.rrison Artillery camp u'ul shooting. The general progress inailc by tho men was excellent. They showed the greatest keenness, and good work ivas being done hy them. The Ist Canterbury Kcgiment had also quitted camp that day, and had marched ten miles into ChristchurcJi in excellent order, nil arriving in town very fit and cheerful.
