.(By Telcjraph.-Special Correspondent.) Palmcrston North,' April 7'. There was,a.record, attendance at tlio Seventh Conference of the New -Zealand Provincial Grand Black. Chapter, which opened here to-day, prccoptories throughout the Dominion being: represented. The Rev. liro. W. D. Little, M.W.G.M., presided. It was reported that the momhership had largely increased, and tho number of preeeplorics. had increased from Ave to fifteen in tha past fix years. AV. Archer, Pulmerston; Grand Hoeistrar, Sir ICt. W. Hmilcr, l'almerslon; Grand Lecturers,' Sir Kt. W. D. Little, P.G.M., and James A. Hay, ,Timani; Grand Standard-Bearers. Sir'.Kts. V. J. Lemon, Loeston, and J. F. Burt, .'Napier; Grand Censors, Sir Kts. J. Keay, Tiniaru, and .1. P. Thompson, Waih'ij Grand Pursuivant. Sir G. Mnssen. Hastings; Foreman of Committee, Sir I. M, Parlane; Committo;\ Sirs Kts. Wilson, Jiiillden, Brough, Robson, Lemon, and Shields; Grand Inspector of AVorltiiigs, Sir Kt. M'lleekinjr, 1'.G.?.1.; Hon. Dcputv Grandmaster of Grand Black Chapter of Ireland, Sir Kt. K. M'Jjeeking; Hon. B.G. Choplain, AV. I). Little: and representatives for the Grand Black Chapter. The following resolutions were carried: — "<]) That we, the Provincial, Grand Black Chapter of New Zealand, comprising lifteen royal black prcceptorivs, declare once mors our loyalty end devotion to King George V and (o the Protestant Crown, and to the Constitution »i '-ho great Kmpire to which we tiro proud to belong." "(2) That we express' our' heartfelt thanks to all I'liiomst members of Parliament for their loynl devotion in opposing Ihe Homo Rule Bill, and.also for their efforts in promotiiijt tho welfare o.' our Empire, and that wo express (o all our brethren in Ireland our heartfelt appreciation and sympathy with them in tho determined and strenuous efforts which they r.ro putting forth,"
