IN ANTARCTICA.
DR. MAWSON'S RESEARCHES. By' Tolegraph—Press Assoeiation—Copyright Sydney, March 20. Pirfessor David states that Dr. Mawson's Antarctic Expedition has already di.ii • valuable scientific work despito treiin utious obstacles. Dr. Mawsnn is working in what is probably the most stormy spot in tho world, owing to an immen.se air trough of very low pressure. Parties had been established at Adelio Land and in the vicinity of the termination of the land—both excellent positions for useful meteorological, magnetic, geological, and biological research. Professor David said he daily expected to hear from tho party by wireless, although it was probable thai Antarctic blizzards would play havoc with the apparatus.
