HUGE BEQUEST. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright London, March 19. Ihe personalty of the late Lord Wandsworth has been sworn at ,£1,488,000. Of this amount a million has been bequeathed for tho purpose of founding orphanages. Sydney James Storn, first Lord Wandsworth, was elevated to tho peerage by Lord Roseberv in 1895. He was born in 1815 and after completing his education at Cambridge, entered the business cf Stern Brothers of Angel Court. Ik sat in Parliament for a year in the Liberal interest as member for the Stowmarket Division of Suffolk in 1891. He was not married and left no heir.
