JI/Kenzic, whn has just returned from a trip to Australia, much benefited in health, reoccupied his pulpit at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church yesterday. IVo men appeared before tho Magistrate to-day charged with travelling on tho mailtrain with excursion tickets. They pleaded ignorance of tho law, but the Magistrate fined them a shilling each and costs, and ordered them to pay an addition fare to the Railway Department. Complaints are-being made of systematic deer poaching in (he deer lands bet«"«m Wangamii and Pipiriki. This practice is a continually recurring one, but, owing to the nature of the country, ILo rangers have great difficulty in catching the offenders.
