A bowling quartet, representing" the local club, journeyed to Fo.tton on Wednesday to play the leading rink there for the Thorns Ferns, and succeeded in securing victory by, 18 points. On the tenth head ii lead oi'.'lC—■! was established, and, although the visitors played erratically at times, they continued to pile on scores. A canvass is being made of the district for funds with which lo build n new Church of Knghnd, and some substantial donations have been promised. Miss Cooper and Jli«s Dull' (both of Wellington I have signified their willingness to act as judges at the forthcoming horticultural show. '
