WELLINGTON CATHOLIC CLUB

The twenty-seventh half-yearly meeting of tho Wellington .Catholic Club was held on Thursday evening! In the absence of the Rev. Father O'Shea, Mr. J. M'Gowan, vice-president, occupied the chair. Tho report congratulated members on tho satisfactory progress made by tho club during tho half-year. Tho several adjuncts of tho club arc all in a prosperous condition, and members are looking forward with enthusiasm to the coming halfyear. The Rev. Bro. Mark's memorial prizes were presented to the successful scholars at the breaking-up of tho Marist Brothers' schools at Christmas time. The balance-sheet showed that the receipts during the term were £6$ 7s. 6d., and expenditure J378 12s. 6d., while thero is at present a credit balance of .£l6 16s. sd. The election of officers resulted as follows :—Patron, lis Grace Archbishop Redwood; president, Very Rev. Father 0 Shea; vice-presidents, Very Rev. Dean Regnault, Rev. Fathers Venning, Hickson, Quinn, Rev. Bro. Justin, Messrs. M. Kennedy. M. O'Connor, C. P. Skerrett, A. H. Casey. J. M'Gowan; lion, secretary, Mr. W. C. Thomas; lion, treasurer, Mr. J. Webb; executive, Messrs. G. Dee. J. L. Leydon, B. Leydon, W. Tiller. T. Tiller, F. Eller, B. gheehan, R. Duffy, and H. Carruthers.
