His nominators tiro Messrs. Ct. A. M'llvrido, Donald Eraser, and William Neazor. The Lady Foresters entertained their friends at a social evening in tho lodgeroom at Pctone last night. Tho gathering was very successful, dancing, interspersed with musical and vocal items, constituting the evening's programme Tho ladies propose holding a series of those socials in the winter. The first general meeting of St. Augustine's Ladies' Hockey Club was held on Wednesday in tho lads' room, and it was decided to outer a junior team this year. The officers were elected as under: Patron, Mr. R. J. Southgate; president, Rev. G. B. Stephenson; vice-presidents, Messrs. AY. Hill, Castle. Keir, Palmer, Anslow, Andrews, J. Hill; secretary and treasurer, Miss E. Southgato; coach, Mr. Wcbley; auditor, Mr. C. Andrews; management committee, Misses Hill, Cunliffe, Rnwo; chaperons, Mesdnmcs Cunliffe, Southsrate, and Hill; selection committee, Miss Cunliffe and Messrs. Hill and Webley.
In regard to persistent rumours that cases of victimisation have occurred after tho recent meat workers' strike at Ngahauranga and Pctone, the managors of the various departments deny that any such thing has happened. Tho two employees concerned had no work to do, one left, and the other has been, transferred to another department.
