THE FLAX HANDS' DISPUTE. (By Telcsraph-Presß Association.) Palmerston, February 27. A conferonco between the New Zealand Plaxtuillers' Association, and tho Monawafu Plaxworkcrs' Industrial Union was held to-day, Mr. P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, being in tho chair. The conference lasted all the afternoon, and matters at one timo appeared likely to end in a deadlock. Air. Hally, however, was successful in bringing matters to a successful issue, and a settlement of the dispute was arrived at. Representatives of lx>th sides spoke enthusiastic-ally of the tact and ability shown by Mr. Hally.
