Thomson, 5.11., a man named Hugh Cameron was fined .£3 and costs for using bad language. He was also lined 10>. for being nnsober wlulo in charge of a horse and vehicle. A meeting of tradosnoople has been convened for Tuesday next to consider (lie question of transport services with outside districts. The chairman of the Chamber of Commerce (Mr. A. Eliott) is moving in the matter.Mr/and lira. Canton, sen., well known and hiehlv respected residents of Featherston Street, will celebrate their gcUlcn wedding on March 8. Mr. and Mrs. Canton have been residents of the .Dominion for over -12 years, and of that ponod L 4 vcirs have been spent in Palmcrston. The results of the examinations lor tho scholarships at tho Technical School (donated bv the Palmerston \\ erking Mens Club), are as followratio Scholarship, Percy Hancock, 105 marks, and K. liarwood, 115 marks; open scholarship, U Bartlett, 185 marks, and J. Lynch, 100 marks. ;
