BROKEN ENGAGEMENTS.
WARNING TO.TAXI-CAB MEN. In future, taxi-cab drivers in (lie city will not bo allowed to break their engagements with impunity. The Tramways Committee'of the City Council recently investigated a complaint against a taxi-cab driver for failing to carry out an engagement, where his failure resulted in great inconvenience being caused to the hirer. The committee informed the driver that a repetition of the offence would result in the loss of Ms license, and instructed that the drivers bo written to, advising them that, in future, they will individually be held responsible for the engagements which they make.
