BURST IN VIOLENTLY.
SCENE CREATED BY LABOUR MEN. (By TclceraDn.— Press Association.! Auckland. February 15. A conference of all employers of general labour, representatives of suburban bodies, quarry-owners, and eleven members of the City Council was held to-night to consider whether the. representatives of the General Labourers' Union should be met on an equal footing to consider the proposed increases in wages and improvement in the working conditions of certain classes of labour. After a discussion lasting two hours, it was resolved that, while the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act is tho law of the land, the cunferenco would decline to make agreements outside the Act, and confirms its previous resolutions. After other resolutions had been carried, members of tho Labourers' Union, who had been waiting without, burst inlo (he room despite the remonstrances of the City Engineer, and used fit is said) violent and insulting language towards the conference. Among the invading force were: W.I Parry, vice-president o'f the Federation of I Labour, — Frnser, president of (he locnl Labourers' Union, "— Adams, secretary, and — Mason, vice-president of tho same body.
