The Cily Council lias been considering for a long time mimic moans of making llii' management of the tramways venture. ;i little more oftrclivp, and to that end "ml in view tho iipjioint niont of u traffic manager, lleforo the last mooting of the council, Councillor M'Kon/.ic gave notice of the- following motion, which at his desire was not published, owing to tho I raimvays Committee having the question iinilor rnntideralinn. The molion reads as follows:-

"That before making any appointment as Traffic Manager, t'ho council should again consider the advisability of obtaining a report on the Iraniways management from a well recognised expert." Councillor M.'Konzic, on considering tho matter further, requested the Town Clerk to hold over the motion till the next meeting, and this was done. The motiun will therefore appear on the order paper of the council at its next meeting. When spoken to by a Dominion reporter last evening, Mr. M'lCenzio preferred not to enlarge upon his motion, lie said that it might probably bo withdrawn. Tho city engineer was furnishing a general report on the tramways system, and it would depend on the terms of that report whether lie would go on with his motion or not.
