RISING TRAM REVENUE.
HARD CILYSED BV THE COST. Some interesting tramway figures were lniule available alter the meeting of the Tramways Committee yesterday afternuon. One consisted of a leluni showing the revenue and expenditure for that period of the iiiiiiucial year between April 1 and December 8 last—a period of eight month* and n week—for the tramways anil power supply department. The return, while it shows a satisfactory increase in the revenue, shows that increase has not been won with almost a corresponding increase in oxiienditure.
