Every giwi in the city was enlivened by a concourse of merry men, bent- on making up.for the recent spell of peculiar weather, and one and all Had a delighttul day -with "kitty." WELLINGTON CLUB. On the Wellington Club's green a rinlc tournament was held, tho prizes being allotted by the president and rice-president. There wero 04 competitors, these Ixing divided into four sections of four rinks each. Thr>x games of 21 heads were played, tho following being tho result of tha rounds :— First Round. Three rinks on each side plavcd tlirco full rounds during tho day. The visitors were entertained to lunch at Godber's. The result of tho day's play was a win for tho liataitai men, both on games aud oil points. • TOURING AUCKLAND PLATERS.. On .Friday morning, at 9.30, on the Vic toria green, the Auckland bowlers will play six rinks chosen from_ the clubs ill tho southern end of tho city, and ono from Petono and another from Hutt. In the afternoon, at 2 o'clock, they play ton the same greeu) eight rinks representing the Bowling Council. At 8 p.m. they will 1m entertained at a smoke concert in the 1 Wellington Club's pavilion. On tho Thorndon green, on Saturday morning at 9.30, t.liev play eight rinks representing the nortficrn end of the city. After lunch ' they will he the guests of the Wellington Club.
