POSITION'IN NORTH OTAGO.. . The, North Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association has decided to nsk tlie Government to. liavo llio ro-operativo works in the South Island suspended for ' tho timo being in onicr to allow- of the ' labourers being available for harvesting operations. Not only is farm labour short 1 m North Otago owing to tho doplotion of r tho ranks during the winter months, but shearing was made late by so much wet . weather ajid consequently requiml all tho available men for some time to come. The decided to ask tho co-operation of kindred societies in tho South Island.
