FRESH DEMANDS AT LTTTELTON, (By TelcEra,ph—Press Association.) Cliristchurch, January 20. In connection with the agreement at* rived at between the waterside worker* and shipowners, regarding increased rates of pay, etc., there appears to bo some dissatisfaction among the members ol the Lytteltou Casual AYliarf, Union. ' , This morning a number of the men approached tho president of the unionf and said that they thought that soma steps should be taken in the direction of obtaining increased wages for them. After some discussion, it was arranged that a meeting of the committee or the union should be held to-morrow morning to review the wholo position, and formulate demands for increased pay. Ine result of the committee's deliberations will be "brought before a general meeting of the. union on Monday. , At present tho Railway Union men who handle cargo in railway trucks receive Is. 3d. an hour for ordinary time, and 2s, per hour overtime. The waterside workers have received a general increase of 2d. nn hour, and the railway men intend moving for a similar increase.
