STEAMERS COLLIDE.

The British steamer Strathnlbyn, Australia-bound, collided with tlio Hawaiian steamer Virginia iu Puget Sound. The Strathalbyii's bow was badly damaged- Both vessels are returning to port. (Rec. January 15, 0.15 a.m.) New York, January It. A sailor on the Strathalbyn was killed in the collision with the Virginian. The Virginian has readied port. She has sovornl holes in hor side above the waterline.
