At Bow Street I'olico Court to-day the hearing was resumed of the charges against Francis Henry Pago, Henry Gloudining, and Frederick Marshall (an ex-solicitor), of 1 blackmailiug the Countoss Hamil Domain to tho extent of <£o(IO, tho money being obtained under throat that certain letters would bo published to her annoyance. Tlio lottors wcra l\v a Dan O'Connor (Into of Sydney) and one Dobbie. The Conntoss Domain was further crossexamined'. Sho stated that O'Connor had warned her that defendants woro likely to blackmail her, but sho did not take tho warning seriously. Tho samo day a representative of tho defendants-fold her that a warrant was out for O'Connor's arrest. She denied that she pavo bills in settlement of Dobbie's claim for damages for libel against O'Connor. She wanted to secure' the letters in order to relieve O'Connor, but O'Connor wrote nothing that concerned her. The accused were committed for trial.
