SCENE AT HIS MEETING. (By TelecraDh.—Vr'.as Association.l Auckland, November 23. . At a meeting addressed by Sir John Findlay in Farnell Hall last night, Mr. K. Hili, solicitor, met a motion of thanks and confidence by moving ft vote of thanks. Mr. Hill, in reply to a question, admitted that he was not an elector of Parnoll. Sir John Findlay stated that he would not object to such au amendment being moved by an elector. On Mr. Mill persisting, Sir John Findlay said:—"lf you persist I shall deem it mv duty to speak of you in a way you won't like." "And I shall deem it my duty to speak of you in n way you won't like," retorted Mr. Hill excitedly. Sir John Findlay then beckoneda constable who escorted Mr. Hill outside (lie hall, the latter going quietly, while there was considerable demonstration. The motion of thanks and confidence was then carrifd.
