-•»— DR. FITCHETT'S NOTION. (By Telegraph-Press Association,) Auckland, November 23. Dr. W. IT. I'itchett, tho Australian journalist, was a through passenger to Sydney by the Zealandia. In an interview ho said a new England is being evolved, new in u political and social senso. England, in short, is growing more wisely and nobly democratic, and as the masses aro brought into fuller partnership with tho whole life of the city it is inevitable that the strength and resources of tho city itself will bo multiplied. Canada, Dr. Fitchett declares, is in a condition of what might bo called effervescent prosperity. It is amusingly and exultingly conscious of its own prosperity.
