TWO STEAMERS'STUCK UP.

In consequence of the shipping agent.., (as telegraphed yesterday) declining to moct the wharf workers in a conferenceon a proposed now agreement, the men refused to continue this afternoon on the boats in port—tho Koroniiko and .'■ Waitomuta—unless such a conference was agreed to. The agents yielded. As, however, some of tho men had gone away, tho rest decided not to resume-till this morning. Some difference remains to bo settled about the number of agents' representatives at tho conference, the men appointing five, but this will probably bo got over. Tho men propose that thn confereuco should bo held on Friday morning, and, in tho meantime, work will bo resumed in tho morning.
