THAT OUTRAGE.
QUITE A NEW VERSION OF IT.
(By Toleerarh.-Press Association.) Timaru, Novomber 21. A Press Association message from Ashburton on Friday described certain disgraceful conduct by hoodlums at Rangitata towards a party of No-License advocates a few nights before. Tho chairman of the School Committee and tho schoolmaster now writo to lire "Timaru Herald," denying practically the whole story. They admit only that tho meeting was stopped by the noise outside, and some small mischief was done to tho vehicle and one egg was thrown. They suggest that the opposition was partly duo to tho party making use of tho school without asldng permission, and suggest that, if tho. visitors were bruised, this was due to stumbling over boulders in an uncalled-for panic and flight.
