DEMAXDS FOR INCREASED PAT AND BETTER HOURS.
(By TclcEranh.—Press Aesooiation.! Auckland, November 21. This morning over 300 employers in Auckland received a copy of the demands for increased pay and belter hours, formulatcdjiy the United Clerks of Auckland. The demand's were accompanied by a covering letter asking each employer to signify his acceptance or otherwise by November 30. If by that date the employers-have not stated their willingness to acquiesce to the demands of the union, the secretary maintains that a. dispute within the meaning of the Act will be created, and ho will supply to the Conciliation Commissioner the names of employers on whom the demands vrciß to-day served.
