AUSTRALASIANS WIN AGAIN. By ToleCTaph—Press Association—Cnprrlsht London, November 8. Tho Australasian liugbv League team to-day played the fourteenth match of the tour, when tliev met and defeated a thirteen representative of England. Tho visitors scored 19 points to 10 scored by their opponents. There were 5000 spectators, and tho ground was very slippery. England.was strongly represented. Tho homesters pressed at tho start, and a fine passing rush by the three-quarters ended in Davies scoring. Thomas converted tho try. Francis promptly retaliated by getting a, brilliant try. His kick was abortive. Thomas, for England, then goaled from a free-kick, Francis replying with a second try, which was not converted. From this oil to tho end of the first half, tho Australasians had all the best of the play. Farnsworth, Cann, and Hallet scored ill rapid succession, Francis converting the first, and Cann the second. England was seldom dangerous. At halftime the Australasians led by 19 points to 7.
In the second half, England tackled desperately, and prevented the Australasians from scoring. Davies scored, but Sliarrocks did not enhance tho try. England subsequently missed several good chances through faulty passing. Of the fourteen matches played to date, tho Australasians have won twelve, lost one, and one was drawn.
