Ths Seddon Shield. The Duller Union wrotoseeking the Now Zealand Union's intervention in the settlement of a dilferenco of opinion which has arisen as to which union ha.s a, proper right to hold the Seddon Shield. This shield is for competition among the Marlborough, Nelson, West Coast, and Duller Unions, but when it was presented it wps not, us was the Runfurly Shield, given to tho New Zealand Union to take care of. Certain rules seem to linvo been observed, but this year a conference was held to draw up fresh regulations. 'i'lio new rules were made, but Marlborough, tho holders of the shield, were not representatives. Under those fresh regulations Bnller challenged Marlborough, and Marlborough refused to accept tho challenge. Whereupon Bullcr, also under the new rules, claimed possession of tho shield.—Tho New Zealand Union replied that, they wero willing to adjudicato on tho dispute provided all parties concerned wero willing that they should so act,
