Tho candidate, ufetr outlining Ills views on Iho land question, dealt at some length with the reduction of tlio Custom duties, and advocated the Hutt River oloctrilieaticn scheme, pointing out that the Government had promised to spend .CIO,OOO on this work, when in reality they had only spent .£ll. Touching on the question ot the 1)00 and poultry industries, the candidate said that (hero wns an iminenM advantage' to l)i> gained in the-so industries. lie would support any measure giving greater assistance to small holders in tlio apiary and poultry raising business.
