"10,000 lilock'"' a search party was informed by a rabbilor that he had scon a man corresponding to the wanderer's description two days previously, and tried to induce him to turn back to tho station with him. On refusing to do so, ho had piven him n. tent fly and what, littlo f<>od lie could snare. Thereupon tho part} went towards the spot where, the man was last seen, and after many difficulties, owing to the rough country and extremely rough weather, they discovered him by the smoke of his fire sitting under tho font fly, roughly stretched across some birch bush. The man was in a pitiable conditiou, and hardly recognisable as a civilised human being. His hair was six inches long, his board was matted with dirt, and his toes wore frost-bitten, lie wa.s forthwith placed on a spare horse, and taken to Ada station, distant ton or twelve milos, which was reached after n rather serious mishap, two riders having their horses washed from under them in the Henry River. It is presumed that tho man will be examined as to his mental condition.
