DIRECTORS IN TROUBLE,

WANGANTTI MEAT FREEZING CO. (By Telcerapli.—Press Association.) Wanpanui, October 31. Another largely-attended meeting of the shareholders of tho Watigunui 31p.it Freezing Company was held to-day, to confirm a resolution carried nt a special meeting held ton days ago, calling on a proportion of the directors to resign, the alternative being that they should negotiate for the sale of tho business. After :i lengthy discussion, during which the directorate, was severely criticised, and the directors vigorously defended themselves, tho motion was shelved, in favour of an amendment to the effect that the directors should resign in a body, to give the shareholder!) an opportunity to select a new bonrxl if necessary. Another meeting of the shareholders is to be called to alter the articles of association to enable this to be carried out. This amendment emanated from one ot the directors, and was at first rejected, but on a poll of the shareholders being demanded, tho opposition party, apparently satisfied with having effected so much, stated that they were prepared to accept it, and so it was carried, practically unanimously.
