WARRNAMBOOL RACE PROTEST. By Telcjraph-Prcss Association-Copyright (Rec. October 19, 9.50 p.m.) Melbourne, October 19. Tho stewards have upheld the protest made by Lessing, tho third man in the Warrnambool-Mclbouruo cycle race, and have disqualified Collins, tho first place man, whom Lessing declared had caught hold of his saddlo in tho final spurt. The result is that Tebbs (Victoria) tho second place man, has been placed first, Lessing second, and Hughes third. Collins has notified his intention of appealing.
