During the Kill's' daring attack on the Spanish position at lmarufen, near Melilla, on the Moroccan coast, General Ordonoz, Spain's most brilliant artillery officer, and tho inventor of the Ordonez cannon, received two bullet wounds in the chest, and succumbed. Two officers and sixteen men were wounded. Tho Kiffs were repulsed with great loss.
