SPRING CATTLE PAIR.
The auctioneers, Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., and the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., direct attention Mn our advertising columns to the fourth annual spring cattle fair to be held on account of Mr. 11. A. M'lConzie, at the new saleyards, Boundary Road, Palmerston North, on Tuesday, October 17. As in tho past, tho young cattle, beef, and female stock will be offered without reserve. The 1100 yearling steers arc all station bred, and comprise Shorthorn, Polled Angus, and Herefords from some of the b<-st breeders in tho North Island. The yea .'ling heifers, 300 in number, and tho line of 30 two-year heifers are particularly choice quality, and should be eagerly sought after. The beef to bo offered comprise 50 primo fat bullocks and ICO prime heifers and cows, and as beef is at present very scarce this affords an excellent opportunity for butchers to fill their rci.iiremeiits. Tho 1700 bullocks to be sold aro three, four, and five-year' station-bred cattle, and will be drafted and offered in lots to 6uit purchasers.
