KILBIRNIE AND MIRAMAR TRAMS.
EOUTE CHANGES LUCELY. It is likely that alterations will bo made in the route of tho Kilbirnio and tho Miromar'tram-cars, Tlio 'IVamways Committee, of tho City Council has adopted a report by the city electrical engineer, in which, it was stated that in regard to the. lliramar borough tram service- that tlio service adopted by tho Miramar Borough Council would necessitate the running of tho Miramar, and some of tho Kilbirnie, cars by way of Customhouse Quay and the Post Office. The Lyall Bay cars would continuo running via, Lambten Quay, so there would bo a 7 or an 8 minutes' service outwards from Stewart Dawson's Corner. As tho Miramar Council was desirous of having tho increased service as soon as possiblo, it was proposed lliat the alteration should take effect from October 16, and tho remainder of the arrangements from October 30. Tho committee adopted tlio report and the matter will como before the council to-night
