Timaru, October I, At a meeting last night an address was presented to Dean Tubman (parish priest hero for fourteen years), congratulating him on the completion of the new church. Purses from several organisations, totalling over .£7OO, were presented to him. The Dean said that lie would devote theso gifts towards tlio purchase- of n .£IOOO organ, and otlier requisites. Ho announced that ,£14,600 liad been spent on the church. Somo .£3OOO remained to be met, but of this .£ISOO was in hand.
