PUBLIC SCHOOLS', ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of the Wellington Public Schools' Cricket Association was held on Saturday. Mr. R. Darroch presided. The following officers were eilcctcd:— Patron, Mr. T. R. Fleming; president, Mr. D. M. Yeats; vioo-presideoits, Messrs. F. A. Hempleman, C. It. Joplin, and A. M'Kenzie; match committee, Messrs. W. Olsen, J. C. Burns, and S. Dempsey; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. L. Arcus; auditor, Mr. A. M'Kenzie. ! HUTT V. VICTORIA COLLEGE. The Hutt District Cricket Club opened its season on Saturday with a friendly game with Victoria College. The wicket was in fair condition, but rather soft after tho rccent rains. Victoria College batted first, but could not do anything with the bowling of Brice, who took four wickets for 0 runs. The whole of the side was out for 15 runs (Jameson 12, Berendson 15). Hutt team batted in a very frco style, making 126 before being dismissed, several of the players retiring after making a few runs. .Dempsey was the most successful bowler for Victoria College, taking three wickets for 33 runs.
