ULSTER READY TO FIGHT. By TclcsraDh—Press Association—Conyrieht London, -September '-7. Sir Edward Carson, Conservative member for Dublin University, and a former Solicitor-General, speaking at Portrush, in tho North of Ireland, refuted the accusation of trcasou brought against him by Mr. T. Russell and others. Tho speaker maintained that tho establishment of a provisional government in Ulster, in tho event of Homo Rule passing, was constitutional. Ulster Loyalists did not intend to fight the Army or Navy, but it tho Army or Navy, under tho British Government, camo out to displace them, they would do so at their peril. The Government, declared Sir Edward, should ponder long beforo it dared to shoot loyal Ulster Protestants, devoted to their country and King.
