Money-orders must be obtained two houra before the advertised time- of closing the mails. 'Mails for Australian States close at Auckland, per Marania, on Tuesday, October 26, at 10.45 a.m. Mails for Australian States and South Africa closo at Auckland, por Maheno, this day at 8 a.m. Mails for Australian States, per Ulimaroa, close at tho Bluff this day at 8 a.m. On Monday, September 25 (Dominion Day), tho Post Office will be open in ali its branches (except Monc3 - -ordor Department) from 9 to 10 a.m. Maiis by steamers sailing on that day will close at,7.15 a.m. The only dispatches by trains will bo for the Wairarapa district, which will closo at 6.30 a.m.. and for the Manawatu, Wangauui, Taianaki, Hawkc's liay, and Auckland districts, which will close at 7.15 a.m. There will not be any clearances of the city and suburban receivers; between 9 and 10 a.m. correspondence addressed to the Post Office only can bo obtained from the delivery counter, Chief Post Office, and during the same timo parcels, per narcels post-, can bo obtained at the Drill Khed. One full delivery by letter-carriers will bo made in the city and suburbs, closing at tho Chief Post Office, Wellington, at 7.15 a.m. On Saturday, September 23. the public delivery counters at the Chief Post Office will bo open between 8 and 9 p.m. for delivery of all correspondence addressed to the Post Office, and articles per parcel post can bo obtained at tho Drill Shod, Maginnity Street, between 8 and 9 p.m. on Saturday. Mails for Chatham Islands close at Lyttelton, per Himitangi, on Tuesday, September 26, at 11 a.m. Mails for Itarotonga and Tahiti close at Auckland, per Talune, on Tuesday, September 26, at 10.45 a.m. All books and sample packets and newspapers for places within tho Dominion must be posted half an hour boforo tho ordinary letter mail closes. Unless otherwise specified, registered letters and parcels-post packages must be handed in and money-orders obtained one hour before tho ordinary mail closes. All tho principal mails by train and steamer close at Te Aro and Courtenay Place Post Offices at the same hours as at tho Chief Post Office, with tho exception that there is no latc-fco clearance. D.
