WILL SIR J. FINDLAY STAND? ... Sir John will .probably bo a candidate 'for J the Parnell seat at the general election. Ho will lcav& Wellington to-day, and arrive in Auckland on .Sunday morning. Arrangements aro being mado for a deputation of Parnell i electors to wait upon him, probably on| Tuesday morning. "Mr. Lawry does not intend to 6oek re-election," "Sir John Findlay informed a reporter yesterday afternoon. "Parnoll lias been a Government scat for many years, and it is only right that wo should make an endeavour to retain it. Since tho mattor has been in tho air I havo received scores of telegrams of a most encouraging character, but I cannot arrivo at a decision until I haye consulted some judicious friends." Sir John Findlay added that probably ho would not givo a reply to- tho deputation immediately. Ho would bo ablo to announce his decision on his return to Wellington on Wednesday afternoonWHAT ME. LAWRY SAYS. Mr. F. Lawry, M.P. for Parnell. teld a Dominion reporter Ic-st evening that ho had not yet decided whether ho would stand at tho coming election or not. Ho would address his constituents next Moilday, and after that ho would announce his decision.
