The monthly meeting: of tho Torks-hiro Society was htld at Godber's rooms, Cuba Street, last evening, Mr. J. Charleswortlv presiding. A letter was received from tho newlyformed branch of the Yorkshire Society at Hastings, extending an invitation to members of the Wellington Society, to bo present at the official opening on September 20. Final nrrancemenls were made in connection with the annual dinner, which is to be held on September 2"). Mr. C. E. Hay-ton read an interesting budget of Yorkshire news which was apparently much appreciated. The remainder of the evening was devoted to cards and music.
