9 FATAL EXPLOSION AT WAIHI. (By Teleeraph.—Press Association.) Waihi, August 26.Henry Bulock, the victim of the explosion accident in the Grand Junction mino on Thursday, died this morning. At tlifc time of the occurrence the members of the Hine Commission were inspecting tho mine in the vicinity of the accident. In consequence of tho unfortunate happening tho Commission adjourned its inspection. A SMASH o.\" THE ROAD. Timaru, August 27. On Friday evening, about sis o'clock, Mr. Hcdley Abbott, of Pareora, was motoring with two friends—Messrs. Hanson and Haynes—and collided with a horse and trap near the Pareroa River. The trap was smashed, and the car much damaged. The driver of the trap had his collarbono broken, and Mr. Hanson was cut about the face, and had some teeth knocked-out. The others were unhurt. Tho accident happened at a corner where it is the habit of traffic both ways to shave the corner. BODY FOUND. Gisborne, August 26. The body of &■ Native has been found in tho bush in tho Port Awanui district. It is believed to bo that of Tanßaere, a Maori who wandered from his home three months ogo when ill.
