' J BROOKLYN HARRIERS. On Saturday afternoon tliO' Brooklyn and Karori Harriers held a combined run from tho ICelburne Tea Kiosk, there being a largo attendance. The Karori captain (P. F. Clarke) was pacemaker, and tlio Brooklyn captaia (V. A. Wilton) was whipper-in-. The course was from the tea-room along tho Kolburno Parade, through Northland, into Karori, and then over tho towards Makara. Hero the range of hills was followed for about a mile, and then a descent was made on to the road at South Karori. The trail thereafter led back to tho starting jioint via tho tramline, Karori, and Northland. A run-in was held over the last HOO yard.s, and resulted as follows:—V. Byrne, 1; A. Cook, 2; and M. Pointon, 3 (Brooklyn). Dayton and Hildreth (Karori) finished fourth and fifth. After the nm tho Brooklyn llavriers entertained the.Karori Harriers at afternoon tea. Tho Brooklyn captain wished the new club every success, and hoped that they would'affiliate with the centre next year. Mr. P. Clarke (Karori) responded, and then thre-o hearty chfers from both clubs brought a pleasant afternoon to a close.

Saturday's run by the Wellington Harriers was started from Messrs. Johnson's and I'inckney's whare at Lyall Bay. Paper was dispensed with, and tho pack, with 1. Salek as pacemaker,' set out along the beach round Turakina and Breaker Bays, into Seatoun, and home along the main road. A handicap .run-in was held from tho Seatoun tunnel. In this R. Reid was first, W. Power second, and T. Johnson third. Isoxt Saturday a fivc-milo opeu'handicap will bo run off.
