President Tai't vetoed the Cotton Bill, a democratic measure, lowering the tariffs on common imports. All the democratic measures have now been vetoed. The party, when tho winter session is field, will endeavour to pass the Wills over the veto, if President Taft then, having the report of tho Tariff Board he appointed ready, does not agree to accept the Democratic Bills. It is believed the President is not , likely to be further opposed In tho Lower House.
