ORDER OF RFCHABITES.
The executive of tho Independent Order of Rechabites, baring received an application from a number of residents of Kilbirnio to open a new Tent of the Order, the District Chief Ruler (W. J. Gandin, sen.), accompanied by the District Deputy Ruler (F. J. Ward), the Past District Chief Ruler (R. A. Ferguson), and tho District Secretary (T. Fathers), with tho applicants, assembled at tho Methodist Church room, Moxham Avenue, and received tho candidates .into the Order. Tho namo decided upon Vns the Kilbirnio Tent, No. 82. After tho instituting formalities had been performed tho following were elected officers of tho new branch:—Chief Ruler, S. Sherwood; Deputy Ruler, A. Young; Treasurer, P. C. Ridfre; Secretary, T. Father?; Lcvite, A. 11. Synionds; Guardian, A. Lancaster. T. lirattlo was appointed to act as P.C.R. The installation ceremony was impressively rendered by the District Chief Ruler, ftr. K. Kemp _ConstableStreet, was unanimously appointed surgeon. Tho sec-rotary was instructed to notify the dispensary of tho new Tent that'it had been resolved thatthe-meet-ings be held every alternate Tuesday at tlio Methodist Church r0n.,,. M"vlvn.,, V,-. eiuie. Reference was made to tho general progress that had taken place in mid around KilbJrnie, and in consequence members anticipate shortly to have a very successful branch. ■■
