WELLINGTON CENTRE.' The following is the report of the Weilington Bowling Centre, who are holding their annual meeting this evening:— In November,-,n match was played oa the Wellington Club's green between tho Wellington.and Watrarapa Centres, which resulted in a win for the former, ,thn stores being:—Wellington, 221; Wairarapa, 168. Tho centre regret being, qn-. ablo to get teams to visit Carterton to play a return match. Tho centres annual tournament was played on tho different clubs' greens on January 2 and, 3, 1911, and resulted in a win for tho Eelburne Club, skipped by Mr. Wililamson, who won 9 games out of 10, Mr. J. C. Webb, Wellington Club, boing runnor up. Ho also scoured the prizo for the highest aggregate scoro. On March 8, 1911, the champion of champions was played off on Wellington Club's green, and resulted in Mi. T. S. Mayer boing champion for the season 1910-1911. A vory pleasing feature was shown bv Mr. F. W. Haybittlo (delegate for Wellington Club), who provided luncheon" for tho champions at his own expense, and tho thanlcs of tho contro aro dm to Mr. Haybittlo for his kindness. In tho inter-club contest tho following matches were won for the season; Senior pennants, Wellington Club; junior pennants, Newtown Club; Edwin.. fca* thors, Thorndon Club; Hill pins, Victoria Club; junior stars, Kelburne Club. Election of officers, A and B pennants, drawings, etc., wil bo tho business tliia evening.
