July I.—Frosty morning; fine, bright day. Greytown, July !.—The weather to-day i; fine; thcrmomoter (at 9 a.m.) Wee.; wind, S.W. Apparently the period of rain has come to an end. Hastings, July 2.-0n Saturday and Runday tho weather has been dull and cold,, with occasional heavy showerc. Palmerstoil, July 2.—Another sharp fros-t on Saturday morning, followed by .% beautiful day. About 9 o'clock on Sunday morning heavy rain began to fall, and continued for several hours. Fcilding, July 2.—Saturday: Heavy frort, glorious (lay) clear night. Sunday: Heavy downpour 9-11 moraine, but changed at mx.a to a fine cold njjlt.
