HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN DAYS. 1 Just as darkness was sotting in on Sa.V urday, word was received from the signal station at the Heads that a baraue was four miles off, signalling for a pilot. Captain Waxhliu, of the Duchess, was instructed to get his vessel veady, but, owing to it being Saturday evening, it was found difficult lo locate all tho members of tho crew. He accordingly arplicd to tho officers of H.M.fl. Pioneer, and asked for volunteers. Three Jack Tars readily responded, and tho ves-cl left the Ferry Wharf about 8 p.m. It was anticipated that the baraue, which proved to bo the Duncraig, 115 days out from Liverpool, would be brought to an anchorage about 11 p.m. These hopesproved false, however, for it was 9.30 a.m. yesterday before tho sailing ship dropped "the hook" inside Port Nicholson. When the Duchess got outside the Heads all signs of tho barque had disappeared, so it was decided to cruise about, and at about 4.J0 on Sunday morning she was picked up not very far off the land, and taken in tow.
