(From Our Special Correspondent.) Masierton, June 15. Mr. E. 0. Javrott, of Maslerlon, has boon appointed lo the Management Committco of '■the Physical Cult'uro Association, recently formed in Christchurch. Professor Mills, of Milwaukee, U.S.A., lecturcs here on Friday evening under tlio auspices of the local branch of tho Labour party.- , Mr. 13. F. J. King;, formerly of Melbourne but' now of Invercargill, intends visiting Masterton in the course of a few days to investigate the conditions which obtain here under No-Licence. A meeting of directors of Che Wellington Farmers' ileal Company i% to 1m held next week to deal with tenders for tho duplication of the electrical plant at tho works, and oilier additions. Mr. Arthur 11. Vile, tho retiring member of tho Wellington Education Board for tho Wnirnnipa district', intends offering himself, for re-election. The commitloe ef the Maslerton Horticultural and Industrial Society was to have mot last evening, but the weather was so bad Ihut a quorum could not bo secured.
