HEAVY DAMAGES AWARDED. ■ By Tslcßraph—l>j;ess Associallon-Ooprrleli) London, June U, In the lung's Beneli Division of the High Court of Justice, 'Colonel BromleyDavenport, the unsuccessful Unionist candidate for the Leek Division of Staffordshire, sued Mr. Robert Pearce, the successful Liberal candidate, and also the printer of an election pamphlet, for libel. The plaintiff was awarded *£1200 damages.
