MEETING OF THE ASSOCIATION. At a meeting of the committee of tho Wanganui Agricultural Association, the following new members were elected:— J. Cloodger, I'. Talboys, A. E. Garner, 11. Nash, jun., W. M'Donahl, T. .Mitchell, Bert Lambert, A. Jl. E. Wall, J. L. S. Ellis, and Walter I'ark. It was resolved that the Grand Marshal appoint the chief litewards as heretofore. _Mr. Percy Smith, hon. secretary of the Ko'.v Zealand Kennel Club, wrote notifying that the following challenge clas>es had been allotted to tho W.K.C., namely, bulldogs, setters (English, Irish, and Gordon), pointers, pugs (black and fawn). The secretary of the New Zealand Cocker Spaniel Club wrote notifying a donation of two one-guinea prizes for the lest puppy (dog or bitch). Both letters were referred to the dog stewards. The following special prizes havo been promised for the next show:—Mr. G. Harper, ,£3 lis. for the best three-vear-old Shorthorn bullock; Mr: H. Hammond, 3s. for best pen of five fat lambs, longwoolled, most suitable for freezing; Messrs. Williams and Co., silver cup for leaping competition: Messrs. Thain and Co., silver cup for hunters' competition; Wanganui licensed Victuallers, 10 sovs. for hunters' .competition; Mr. James Coombes, gold medal for championship hack; Mr. I'l'ed. Moore, 10 sovs., including silver cup, for best pen of two fat bullocks, three years old: Mr. H. Gillies, gold bangle for best ladv rider in "reform" dress; Mr. E. Cranstone, gold medal for best Hereford bull, three years old; Mr. W. Poison, silver cup for best grade Shorthorn bull; ar.d Mr. J. Hodges, £2 2s. for best dairy cow in milk. ° '
