BRISBANE GAS STRIKE.
o COMPANIES REFUSE ARBITRATION. Br TeleEmph—Press Association—OopyriEßt (Rec. May 30, 0.15 a.m.) Brisbane, May 29. The two city gas companies havo informed the Premier that they do not think it necessary to accept his suggestion to submit the dispute with the strikers to arbitration. Tho labour unions will meet on Wednesday to consider the position and tho suggested general strike.
